Skrillex, one of the hottest young dubstep name in the world now, rose onto thrilling stage that event host Renegade has put together in a well known nightclub Circus which is located in Kamppi, Helsinki. Skrillex definitely blew his Finnish fans brains off their heads on the 29th of July.

Theme of  the night: crazy

The gig was absolutely the best one that I've been part of. Tickets were sold out a long time before the date of the event and one could see it inside the club: everyone was feeling it and there were no swingers hanging around. The stage lightning show was synced very nicely with the music. Specially for the time Skrillex played. Everyone came there to party, party hard. Sweat, sauna-like temperature, over-crowded, lack of oxygen, disturbed liquid balance, wild, natural euphoria, happiness, more sweat. Thats my description of the show.

The club was packed

Skrillex was great but so were the Finnish top artist as well. Line up included Rico Tubbs, Muffler, Eliot Ness, Proteus and MC Reefer. Big thanks to them also! Skrillex was the main performer but none of them didn't go into his shadow. Feel free to get familiarised with these great artist if you haven't already:

And some thumbs down to Renegede.. Circus is dimensioned for 2500 people. There were a lot more. The gig was sold out long before but suddenly they came up with a lot more of tickets. And they also sold tickets at door as well. Circus was sooo over crowded that you could barely move around there. People were pushing each other and everyone was jammed against something. There were several round tables on the goddamn dance floor. Seriously? I don't even want to know how high the temperature was. All I know is that everyone was soaking wet of sweat from toes to head. Several people passed out because of the bad air inside the club. Some also reported that they had to queue for drinks and especially for water for a long time. And that they had to pay for water on a heated inside rave like that. Personally I hope some improvements from Renegede and Circus for next events held in Circus especially on hot summer nights like 29.07 was.

Although the event was absolutely great. Maybe the heat, over crowding and litres of sweat made the show even better, who knows.

Thank you artists for performing, crowd for raving and Renegede for bringing Skrillex here. It was breathtaking!

Nice Pretty Lights

Pretty Lights released a nice and addicting new remix called "Country Roads". It's their version of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads". Pretty Lights made magnificent work cropping and mixing together these lyrics and sounds from a farmer boy song to an electro tune. It's a bit different from a typical Pretty Lights song but you can definitely recognize those familiar tunes (example @ 2:20->) also. Free download link is available! Use it and enjoy.
